That's nothing. I had just finished an after work paddle with a couple of friends who have plastic boats. As we were getting out of our wetsuits, a guy came up, looked at the boats, and made the enlightened observation "Yours looks different. How did you get that wood strip look?" I explained that it had that wood strip look because it was made out of wood strips. He proceeded to accuse me of lying to him, because nobody makes boats out of wood anymore! I had to open the hatches to show the darn fool that there was no other way for the strip pattern on the inside of the hull to perfectly match the pattern on the outside!
