Yeah, it is fun. And we would be disappointed if no one noticed our creations.

Like the time we had a bunch of boats lined up on the beach for a lunch break from a long paddle. My CLC was the lone wood kayak in a line of plastic and composite boats. We were about 10 yards from the boats enjoying a snack, so passer-bys couldn't tell who owned which boat, but we could overhear the comments. A man passed by with his young son, and stopped to admire my boat. The man, of the opinion that wood had not been used to build boats in many years, said to his son "Wow! Look at that beautifully restored antique boat."

We all had a good chuckle, because we knew antique boats were covered with seal skin, not plywood. And the boat was less than a year old. But I was pleased knowing the man appreciated the workmanship that went into the boat.
