: . . .This one caught my eye. I've been wanting a grinder. I could get one
: for . . .At $89.40
: I might have to go for it... any way to get exercise and save electricity
: at the same time has got to be good :) Anybody seen one before; it looks
: like it would last a lifetime.

Lehmans, a source for non-electric tools and housewares, has one similar to what you picture for $49.95. It is made int he US, too. You might as well save $40.

this URL gets you to their catalog page for the grinder:

http://www.lehmans.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/lehmans/searchdet.dw/report?prrfnbr=64003&searchtext=grinder&searchtype=S1&FROM_CAT_REF=

their home page is: www.lehmans.com

Interestingly, while they have an assortment of hand operated woodworking tools: drills, augers, spokeshaves, drawknives, chisels, etc. I couldn't find any planes. I'm surprised. Maybe they just aren't listed online.

Hope this helps
