Hi Mike,

I used narrower strips on my Outer Island. I used 5/4 deck boards for my raw stock. The strips were 5/4 cut in half which makes them just shy of 1/2" if you can fine a real thin curf blade. As far as placing several at a time I don't see how a thinner one will make any difference for that. One thing that I like is the thght curves required on the aft deck at the shear of the OI was quite easy to do.
