Thanks. Wait, I never saw any recommendation to sew wet nylon, though one member here had recommended it. I may have missed it. But, on the videos, wet is never mentioned, and it's clear from the appearance and sound that it's dry... though I have considered that it may be a different variety of nylon.

I was trying to follow recommended procedures, as I understood them. So, I sewed dry. And, I did keep my shop un-heated, in the 50s. I think this is more important than some here had indicated. At any rate, the tension and stability of the nylon is so good that I will try to nearly duplicate my sewing procedure on the next effort. Maybe slightly less tension on the fabric.

For each stitch, I pulled the fabric nearly as hard as I could -- and could hold between finger and thumb, as I ran the needle with the other hand. The main tensioning on the nylon sinew came every few stitches, from pulling lengthwise along the deck ridge. I pulled hard, and was amazed at the strength of the sinew.

The white isn't quite as stark as the first photo indicates. The photo on the truck hints at the very light tinge of green in there, that comes from the goop. It's more obvious at application, but faded as it cured.

: Nice boat. I am currently building a SOF that will also have 12 oz
: nylon + Corey goop, and if you don't mind would like to ask a
: few questions.
: How did you sew the nylon on your boat? Did you sew it wet, as
: Corey recommends? How hard did you pull?
: Is the boat as white as we see on the pictures? I like white but
: Corey said with time it will turn amber.
