Anyway, I got a little more done last night. The strongback is now set up in the garage. I got the risers marked and screwed down. I actually took my time doing this. I clamped each one before I screwed it down. I wanted to make sure they were square to the beam.

Looking good!

Do you have a line down the center of the strongback beam?
(I usually stretch a string and then spray paint from a rattle-can. If the beam is dark I shoot some white or grey primer on it first.)

Stabilizing the ends of the stem forms until a few strips are attached on each side can help.

I like to have a (big) handful of short sticks to spring-clamp to the molds so I can check that everything is square. As long as the molds are lined up properly, their relationship to the strongback -or the floor- doesn't matter much IMO.

Don't forget to tape the mold edges. ;-)
