the guy who developed freeship, developed it as open source software and thereby got a loyal following because the software has so much to it. the open source stopped at vers 2.6 and he went commercial under the delphship name and released something also free almost identical to 2.6 under the delphship free name.

and unbelievably now, someone else who is quite clued in, took up the freeship mantle for his own purposes, and has extended it way further with a whole new resistance output plus i think a more direct output to another resis program.

unfortunately for us, it has a few drawbacks from 2.6 (i have not tried out the free vers of delphship to see if it is as useful as 2.6 - i think i heard it has less output - and who doesn't like output, huh?) and for our purposes 2.6 is better - but hopefully this will change in the future. in any case 2.6 and now 2.8+ still talk to ea other thru *.fef outputs.

(and on the developability side, those side and bottom panels are so simple that they are easily made developable following the process outlined a couple posts back)
