bjorns method is one great way

but another that will allow you to vary how much gutter depth to have (if any) in some locations or all, is to strip past the opening and cut out around where the drop will start and just drop the whole strip assembly. then strip or c/f the drop and build the coaming.

in your case maybe drop the back only by 1/4 or 1/2in or so for aesthetics or continuity and successively drop the front - or vice versa as there is lots of scope.
