Ill be doing something like this, but not quite (havent done it yet though) I want a CF rim instead of wood. Im just not sure yet if I want to lower the complete rim, or maybe just the rear part, so my approach will probably be different.
I think Ill make the CF rim over a mold outside of the kayak, cut an oversized hole im the deck and put in the rim at the "perfect" angle, and then glass it in place. This is too far in the future, having only stripped the hull yet.
