That is a great idea, Mike. I have been thinking along those lines for lighting up my kayak but not for rescue purposes. I've always thought it would be cool to do a night paddle with those LED tube lights strung out along the sheer lines. Power source could be a car battery or something similar placed between my knees. Some day, when I get time, I will try this idea out, probably during Autumn when it gets darker sooner. For rescue purposes, the light would make things a hell of a lot easier for the Coast Guard, or whomever happens to come along.
