i read the epoxy book by system three....IIRC, silver tip with the slow hardener doesn't blush. i know that there's probably outside contamination because i put it in the pool to see if it floated...STUPID me. my big concern is that the wetout coat has been left for weeks to cure because i was in maine, so i don't know if the fill coats will adhere to that

sorry if i'm leaving out any details that would be helpful. this is the first time i've ever tried a project like this.

: Thanks for taking care of Nick.

: I know this started out about a question you had, which I think I understand,
: but would rather let others answer. So as I understand it: The boat has
: 'glass on it with just the initial wetout epoxy. You're ready to do fill
: coats but the bonding issues are 1) there might be blush, 2) there might
: be outside contamination, and 3) the wetout coat is fully cured, limiting
: chemicial bonding between layers.

: I think that some others here have experienced this situation and will chime
: in with answers.
