thanks everyone for the advice! i'm going to try some of it out tomorrow night. we'll see how things go from there. hopefully they go well

the boat did okay in the pool, except it leaned a tiny bit to the left. i'm not sure if that's because i was sitting in it crooked or if the boat weighs more on one side than the other

i found some decent scotchbrite and ONE mohair roller at the paint store. i live in a small town, and there aren't any epoxy dealers that i know of here. when i bought my epoxy, i had to go 40 miles to the store to pick it up
