For rollering epoxy (and that's may favorite way to apply it) I use a half frame roller. I use the standard yellow foam roller covers and cut them in half to fit the smaller frame. You should find the roller covers wherever you find epoxy; I'm pretty sure West Systems markets them.

I never try to save roller covers. As soon as I'm sure I'm finished with the roller for the day, I take the cover off and put it in the trash before it gets glued to the frame any harder than it has to be.
