It is interesting that at my house, my other half doesn't mind me working on a model kayak, but the fact is that I can build it without having to spend hours in the workshop (which is in my attic), so far this Cirrus has been assembled in my living room with the family. Again, I have four kids, it's very busy. If I can be with them, while their reading, doing homework, watching TV, then that's where I want to be. Working on the real boat is more of a commitment, one my wife wants me to wait on until I finish a few more house duties. The BONUS from making models is experience. And perhaps someday, cash to feed this addiction.
When I AM in the shop, upstairs, I like best like this...
