As for the Guillemot S&G, I like the looks of the way you did it. It takes the strips further down onto the hull. My finished Guillemot models all have Nick's deck side panels on them and strips just on the deck. I do however have a model at .15 scale that is built exactly how you described extending the side panels higher on the Guillemot to have a four panel hull. It's still unfinished, because I did not like the look. With deck sides it just looks better. I gave it to my youngest son to play with. He's sanded the black epoxied hull, and now wants to put strips on the deck. The only problem is he's not allowed to use very many of my tools, he's only six. If he persists, looks like I'll have to help him finish it. I'll take some pictures, if it ever gets done.
