If the keel line looks lumpy, it's probably the result of slightly misshapen panel edges along the keel line. SnG kayaks are quite sensative to panle shape variations in this area. Assuming the kayak is sitting upside down, a high spot in the keel indicates excess panel width at that point; a low spot indicates a too-narrow panel.

To fix a too-narrow panel, loosen the stitching in the local area and slide a wedge into the gap until the keel line look fair.

To fix an over-wide panel it may be necessary to remove a little more stitching until you can get at the panel edge with a block plane to pare it down. As an aside, I use a large framing slick (chisel) for operations like this because, unlike a plane, there is no sole to get in the way and the 2-foot long handle allows very subtle variations in cutting angle to pare away thin slices until I get the fit I want.
