Happily it's starting to look like an actual canoe! Took Dave's advice of flipping the boat upside down and chine placement really went quite well. I used bungee cords wrapped around the hull to hold them in place while getting them into position. I marked the chine positions on one side, then removed the sections and mirrored them to the other side.

The boat is all together now with zip ties. Unfortunately now with the chines in place the bow has dropped a little too far, taking away my rocker. When I decided where to put sections I left a large gap between the first two so one wouldn't interfere with the bow paddler. This gap leaves a lot of space for flex though and I think I better put in another section in between to (hopefully) stiffen things up. Or maybe I need to work on the chine placement at the front section so they aren't pulling it down so much. Feeling good about it though.
