Went ahead with the towel plan tonight. As of now the gunwales are sitting with hot, wet, towels on them with a 20 inch drop in the center. This was a bit more than I expected but that's what wet towels did to them. I plan on taking the towels off later this evening when they're cooled. Any idea how much spring back I can expect? After the towels are removed should I keep them weighted to that bend or reduce it?
